Director/Producer JOHN LE BLANC
A VISUAL STORY TELLER STYLE: Visionary/Conceptualizer/Innovator/Team Builder

John Le Blanc is an inspirational filmmaker whose work touches people on an emotional level. He transforms ordinary situations into extraordinary film events. His unique style of utilizing cinematic lighting as an artistic painter creates strong imagery and illusion to enhance performance and dialogue.

As well as being a master of lighting he is current with state of the art photographic developments. His special skills range from conventional 35mm to large formats such as 65mm Showscan and the first-of-its-kind, 3D twin Vista Vision cameras, for Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" exhibit at Universal Studios, Florida, up through the latest Canon 5D, the RED Camera, and the ARRI Alexa.

Trained as a Cinematographer for over two decades, John has shot with some of the top named directors on feature films, music videos and commercials. He has won a prestigious Cannes Gold Lion award for his AT&T International campaign. John's feature credits include: Angel Town, Stripped to Kill, Personal Foul, and The Outsider, a period western. He was 2nd Unit Director/Cameraman on the original Cocoon.

John's directorial work for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Kansas City Star News won four Omni awards for best campaigns and best spots.

John is a motivational leader for his dedicated production crew. John always delivers substantially more than expected, leaving a long stream of excited agencies and clients in his wake.

John currently lives and works both in Los Angeles, California and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he is a Professor of Cinematography at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.


Editor/Producer STEVE CHILDS
FILM BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE: In 2007 Steve Childs directed his first feature-length documentary And We Will Dance which won the Audience Choice Award at the Real to Reel International Film Festival. And We Will Dance was also selected for fiscal sponsorship in 2008 by the San Francisco Film Society.

Since then Childs has created, produced, directed, filmed and edited over 60 short videos/films which can be seen on his various YouTube channels and his clients’ websites.

He directed/produced the official music video “Ocean Apart” for The Bayonets which screened at the Indie Grits Film Festival. He directed/produced the official music video for Fox & the Phoenix.

Childs recently directed a series of nine videos including his first whiteboard animation for the marketing agency Trupoint Marketing which told the stories and philosophy of that company and its employees.

In September, 2013 Childs was director of photography for the short film “Night Music” about Chopin’s music and the visual arts that reflect those compositions. Childs also just completed his documentary Dancing In Angel Shadows about angels and dance based on Gary Taylor's choreography.
